Rickshaw

Alan has two Rickshaws specifically designed to achieve fast tracking/running shots using Steadicam, gimbal or handheld camera.

The standard sit/kneel on Rickshaw allows the rig to be hard mounted using the Walter Klassen Garfield bracket. The operator can sit or kneel on the deck for either normal or low mode shots.

The Rickshaw also has a standard Boss adapter enabling bazooka sections , vibration isolator and head to be attached for conventional camera shooting. It is also great with hand held and Movi.

The Step on/Step off Rickshaw allows the operator to wear the Steadicam rig and mount and dismount during the shot. Ideal for running down a street with an artiste then following them up stairs in one move.

The rig can also be hard mounted via the Klassen self leveling Garfield mount and the operator can either stand, sit or kneel . The ground clearance of the Rickshaw can be quickly adjusted by changing the height of its 3 wheels.

By adding the seat it can be used as a conventional style Rickshaw also.

Both models come equipped with robust off-road mountain bike wheels or balloon wheels and can be used in either extended or compact mode depending on space at the shooting location.

Each Rickshaw can be assembled quickly and easily with a simple allen key .

Both Rickshaws have recently been used on "The A Word 2", "Safe House 2", "Doc Martin", "Wolf Hall, "The Village", "In The Flesh 2", "The Woman In Black 2", "Truckers", "Good Cop", "The Accused", "Scott & Bailey", "Eternal Law", "Hollyoaks", " Paradox " and "Fallen Angel"

Please view the video to the left to see the Rickshaw in action on "Hollyoaks" with camera operator Joe May shooting hand held."

A Bicycle mount is also available, enabling each Rickshaw to be towed behind any standard bike.

Both models are based  in Manchester and available for hire or purchase. Please contact Alan for details.

"I think that your Rickshaw is fantastic. With relative ease I did a great step off for an important stunt scene. Good stuff !"
